About

The phrase Lech Lecha – ‘go for yourself’ or ’go towards yourself’ has been a part of Jewish thought for centuries.

It inspired young ideologues to leave their parents and homes and move to the Promised Land to drain the (proverbial) swamps.

It led those seeking meaning or the divine to separate themselves from their surroundings in order to undergo a journey towards truth.

And it also represents a personal command – for each and every one of us to become the best person he or she can be, to ‘return to ourselves’

We feel the phrase bests sums up what this blog seeks to be – a place of discussion and reflection about the things closest to us.

  1. Found a essay called “Don’t mention the ‘Z’-word” by a Paul Gross and was wondering if its by the same Paul as the one who writes for this website?
